What to Expect
This retreat is grounded in evidence informed psychotherapy and guided by approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
Across the weekend, group sessions explore themes such as stress responses, the role of the nervous system, personal values, self compassion, and the connection between body and emotion.
The sessions are experiential and reflective in nature. You will be guided through facilitated conversations, gentle movement practices, and structured experiences that invite awareness, insight, and a deeper connection to your internal experience.
Alongside the group psychotherapy sessions, body based and nature based experiences form an important part of the retreat. These elements create space to engage with your surroundings, shift out of day to day patterns, and experience a different pace.
All experiences are invitational, allowing you to engage in a way that feels appropriate for you.
Women’s Health Workshop
Dr. Simon Morgan (BSMC) will facilitate an interactive session focussed on women’s health. The workshop will explore musculoskeletal and nervous system considerations, along with practical information relating to different phases of the menstrual cycle.
Group Acupuncture Experience
Dr. Kate Dambach (TCM) will facilitate a group acupuncture session designed to support nervous system regulation. This session combines traditional Chinese medicine principles with a supported meditation component, allowing participants to rest and receive within a professionally held setting.
Sound Bath Ceremony
An evening ceremonial sound healing session facilitated by Dave Rotherham, featuring didgeridoo, crystal singing bowls, Native American flute and medicine drum. Participants may choose to sit or lie comfortably while engaging with the experience in their own way.
Retreat Catering
Tash and Tom, along with the team from Burbury Whole Foods, will be preparing seasonal wholefood meals throughout the weekend. Their approach celebrates local growers and regenerative produce, drawing inspiration from Mediterranean and Ayurvedic traditions. Meals are shared in communal dining spaces.
Nature, Water and Integration
Time in the magnesium pool, sauna and optional ice bath form part of the retreat rhythm, creating space within the natural surroundings of the property.
Rainforest walks, yoga, and open space provide moments to move, pause, or simply be.
